This paper discusses the typical engineering workflow of an aircraft hydraulic actuator development - enhanced using the new Modelon Impact environment.
Modelon Impact enables having a more collaborative development and digitally more continuous as well as a better spreading of the final model through dedicated apps.
In order to cover the scope of the design workflow, several steps are discussed:
- specifying the system requirements through test scenarios,
- sizing the system based on steady-state design points,
- performing design verification based on dynamic scenarios,
- re-using the sized parameters for simulation of the model,
- switching model fidelity conserving the same interfaces and relevant parameters and
- exporting the model using the Functional Mock-Up standard – for example, for co-simulation with flight control laws.
