Abstract

“Kansei” is a key concept in the recent design technologies and its objective evaluation is very important for the user-oriented design; but known to be a very hard problem. Therefore “Kansei” should be extracted in a multi-way. The purpose of this paper is to pursue the possibility of objective discrimination of subtle differences between 6 different “Kansei’s” (nude; cherry; Japanese tearoom; alien; dirty river; and control) in the emotional plane with arousal and valence axis.

Keywords

Objective evaluation of Kansei; physiological indexes; brain wave; facial expressions
