Abstract

The HumanComfort library provides basic models to predict the thermal comfort of occupants within an airconditioned space in mobile or stationary applications. The library is modularly structured to allow a flexible use in combination with air conditioning systems or complex zone simulations. The HumanComfort library provides models and functions to establish a multi zone model to analyse the interaction between the inertia of the zone and a HVAC (heating ventilation and air conditioning) system relating to the thermal comfort of the occupants. The validation of the building simulation including a thermal comfort analysis was done by a comparative validation test with EnergyPlus using DesingBuilder.
